Provide a punctual raiding toon (enchanted/gemmed properly) rigged with Ventrilo and can pull 5k dps on a single target, by yourself.
Raid some ICC10 experience and want to see the Lich King dead.

Ok, technically not hacked, but that’s what everyone calls it.

This morning we had an account compromised and in turn most things from the gold vault were taken and presumably sold or mailed out. They left some pygmy suckerfish, some army knives, some flares, and about a tab’s worth of misc. food stuffs (except feasts). Our first hacked account in 2 years (ever)!

We were on to it pretty quickly, but it took only minutes before the vault damage was done. Mizz and I have tickets in to the GMs to start the restoration process, but there’s no word on how long it will take (and really we’re not guaranteed to have it all restored). So we’re on top of it.

Our guildy is in need of some TLC so to speak. Being hacked just sucks in all sorts of ways. There’s no word yet on if her gear on her toons or her bank items will be restored. I’m sure her day is going to be pretty chaotic trying to get her WoW-life back into order, so we’ll need to be there to make sure we can help her with whatever she needs.

For now all access to the vault has been removed in an over-zealous attempt and minimizing further damage. I want to keep the logs clean until we get things back in order. I’ll update with more details as they come.

The Truthiness Gear Utility (yes, it still works) has been updated to reflect all of the current Northrend dungeons and raids. I’ve also added accounts for members that have joined since we stopped using it a while ago. See the Member’s Area of the forum if you’re not sure what your password is. Go appreciate Tov’s hard work =P

We came back tonight to finish the Military Quarter and give Sapphiron a try. We ended up steam-rolling the military quarter (except for that one triple-pat-pull with the added shade, my bad) and then stomping Sapphiron pretty easily. We two shot the icey-dragon, but it only took two tries because he ice-blocked two people that were ridiculously far away from half the raid because we weren’t moving in tandem. Anyway, the second time we killed him with ease (really, it was easy).

Then Kel’Thuzad. This guy is a pain. We had to swap our awesome DK, Ashaba with his druid, Feldegast, in order to clear up the melee area and get some backup heals for ice-blocks. Melee frost blasts were chaining four or so people into ice blocks and there’s just no way our healers could have covered it. We wiped a few times and put in two *really* solid hours. 19 minutes before we were scheduled to call it, we gave it one last try and ended up pulling off a win. Clicky for bigger screen cap.

Though not quite finished, I want to go ahead and release the forum to you all. Well, it looks like we may not be getting together for this after all :/ My mom has been moving over the last few days and we took a load with the truck tonight and I completely forgot about the calender event that I created; I hope none of you waited for me

Why should I keep tailoring (or enchanting for that matter)? There is nothing there that I can’t get with gold. The tailor-only leg enchants are cheaper than the regular leg enchants, but no stronger. The cloak enchants are so far laughable and proc based (DPS based on RNG, gotta love it).

The flying carpet is sweet.

Everything else is BOE and buyable. Not to mention Tailoring is requiring three time the mats that BC Tailoring required. Even with cloth scavenging, I don’t feel like I have loads of cloth. I blew through 400+ pieces of cloth to reach 394 the other day.

What the hell is the point? Why not go BS and JC: extra sockets of BOP gem goodness. What about the leatherworking wrist enchants that blow naything else out of the water? I’m having my doubts about enchanting as well. As a DPS caster, +24sp per ring is the benefit of enchanting, or +48sp total. Leatherworking gets +67sp on their wrists.

Then there’s the PVP side: Alchemist only arena potions. Letting professions play into arenas is a shitty idea, but why not take alchemy then? They already have awesome trinkets.

So back to tailoring, why should I keep it? I’m 99% sure that I will, for a couple of reasons: I’ve had it for so long and I have a few rare patterns (which are now out of date :P). I don’t want those to be wasted really. The other reason is that there might be more down the line. Blizzard has said that they don’t like the idea of people taking professions solely to have the ‘best in slot’ items (sunwell robe/gloves, FSW starter set, etc.) and that they would rather people take professions that they enjoy.

Dear Blizzard, Not a lot of people enjoy the ‘work’ of the profession. Grinding out useless crap until capped (or just about capped) and able to bang out a few epic patterns for yourself is hardly fun. There are some people and some things that are not so bad, like JC - It’s a fun profession - everyone needs gems, and everything you make will be useful to someone. For the most part, professions are a pretty shitty necessity. I like working for good stuff, but I don’t want the work to be miserable.

So anyway again, why should I keep tailoring?

So I was filling out my protection set for Salovia, entering in all the crafted mats for certain epics and such and decided I wanted to tally up all the mats I was using. You’re familiar with this:

Notice how I’ve entered the comment for the crafted pieces. In the edit panel, just list the materials needed to craft it in this format:

5 x Material

The format is [number] x [material], or [int] x [string]. The separator is the ‘x’ with or without spaces, so don’t use any mats with x’s in the words o.o! (I should change that to * now that I think about it…). So enter each material on it’s own line. When the table is displayed, it grabs each individual line of the comment box, and then calculates totals based on where that X (or *) is. If you enter it incorrectly, it just won’t be parsed into the table. This should be the result:

In the spirit of the new expansion, I was thinking about changing the tabard colors from red to blue. I made the change in game, but would like everyone to vote before we make it permanent. I’m also going to be playing around with some new site header designs with the new blue color, but I may not get around to seriously looking at it until Christmas break. Also, ignore this ‘n’ down here. I keep deleting it but it must be something in the code for the poll plugin ><
