Hey guys, So I've started recording our Flex raiding. We used to do it in Cataclysm, and I found it very helpful to see what I was doing right & what I was missing/could improve on. If you're not familiar with World of Logs, it's a really neat site with a ton of different ways of looking at the various boss fights; from a healing, dps, or tanking perspective, and even where you rank comparatively to others of your class & spec in the Ranking Info screen. |

Thanks for including the AMR logs - I find it easier to read than WoL. ![]() |

Yeah! I'd seen that they were in closed Alpha a few months ago, but Kaes informed me the other night that they were now open, so figured might as well give them a try! ![]() |

Sept 3: On a sidenote, if you have the AMR installed, the AMR log will pick up the gear you were wearing too, so if you sign out in PvP gear, one can still see what you were actually wearing during the raid. So we can point and laugh at you for wearing your PvP set in the raid. ![]() |

Mizz and I were looking through WoL looking for some healing stuff - I don't think WoL reports certain things correctly (or our logs are jacked up somehow?) - we can't find uptime on healing rain. In googling for it, I found this site: http://www.warcraftlogs.com/ Dunno if it's better or worse. Looks really similar to WoL. Could you upload some logs and check it out? Mainly annoyed that we can't find the info on WoL even though Healing Rain is definitely showing up as being used. |

I signed up/created the guild for the website, but unfortunately the client to upload the logs is corrupted somehow ("the installer file is damaged") and won't allow me to install it on my computer. Healing Rain is definitely being used!! So weird it's not showing up on WoL. It doesn't show uptime on AMR either; oddly AMR only shows uptime for Riptide's tick and Earthliving tick. Overall, HR accounted for 23.1% of Mizz's healing done, with 66.7% overhealing... which leads me to believe the uptime is pretty darn high. I also took a look at other guild's logs for resto shamans, and it looks like uptime isn't something that is tracked for HR. Not sure why, although I don't think there is a buff associated with it to track. I imagine that one could take the number of HR casts x length of HR / total fight length to estimate uptime? Eh.. okay, not really.. unless there is a way to keep track of casts, I don't think we can break it down from the logs. They count ticks, which I believe if 4 people are standing in a HR, that would count as 4 ticks, so an entire duration of HR could count up to 28 ticks (assuming 7 ticks x 4 people for the whole time), but it would be impossible to know at any given time based on logs. Sorry. ![]() |

Yea part of the reason we were looking is when the healing rain is up it does put a buff on her saying something like "Your healing rain is healing your allies." We were just talking about the new 'strat' for Monday and wondering how we can improve healer throughput and everyone else' survivability. I found that other log website when trying to google how to search for healing rain uptime on WoL - just wondering if that site would be slightly more useful than WoL - WoL can be pretty dense sometimes. |

Okay, I got bored and decided to parse the logs myself. ![]() On a quick overall search (I literally used ctrl+f), I found approximately a 40% up-time and upon reflection I thought that seemed low, so I figured out how to load the text into excel (thanks kaes! ![]() I took two attempts; our longest attempt (#4) that was 710 seconds, and our second longest (#1) at 506 seconds. Attempt #1 - 26 total casts over 506 seconds = 51% up time (1 tank, 3 heals) Attempt #4 - 35 total casts over 710 seconds = 49% up time (1 tank, 3 heals) And for comparison, our 0% attempt - 30 casts over 570 seconds = 53% up time (1 tank, 2 heals) |

I wanted to look at Healing Rain but I accidentally wiped my combat log without saving it. ![]() |
